Lake Greenwood Events and Programs

July 1, 2020-  Lights on the Lake Update

Lights on the Lake fireworks show only will occur as planned on Friday, July 3, 2020.

WEATHER ALERTS:  This time of the year we have pop up storms.  Looks good so far, but we will make all last minute announcements on the day of the event on our Facebook page.  Please follow us there.

CLG made the difficult decision to cancel the annual on-land concert and vendors due to state restrictions and for the safety of all.  Camp Fellowship will be closed to the public.  CLG will offer no official land access but you should be able to see the fireworks if you are on land and near the vecenity of Camp Fellowship .  The show will start at approximately 9:30.

BOATERS:

We ask all of two items:

1- Register online for your attendance and check back on our facebook or our website for current boating rules from DNR concerning this event.  We will post any weather delays on our facebook page.

2- For the past 6 years we have not requested the lake community to pay.  This year, we are hoping to pay for the fireworks show via donations and our reserve.  Cost of the show is $16,000.  Due to so many business affected by Covid 19, we decided to postpone their donations until 2021, but continue to promote them.  We are stepping out in a leap of faith that the lake community and spectators will consider donating.

You may donate   here.

We recommend you follow these recommendations from our state:

DHEC, SCHA, SCMA and SCORH have come together to strongly urge all South Carolinians to actively help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and save the lives of our fellow residents by practicing physical social distancing and properly using face masks.

“There is rapidly growing medical evidence that the use of face masks along with social distancing can greatly reduce the transmission of the COVID-19 virus in public spaces and places where people at higher risk of severe illness and death from this virus are likely to be present. We must all commit to wearing face masks in public spaces — if we all wear them, we’ll all be protected.

With 11,000 acres and 212 miles of shoreline, there is an abundance of space to play and enjoy this jewel of a lake. Connect Lake Greenwood host a number of events and programs for all. Attend them all or choose the ones that fit your fancy! Although CLG host most of the events and programs on the lake, we also offer to promote other organizations events.
